I just returned from a trip to the Bahamas on the Carnival Sensation.My wife planned this trip and you can bet that Golf was the furthest thing from her mind when she scheduled our vacation. I love golf and she could have take a little time to look for a way for me to get in a coupld of rounds. Don't you think? Well, my wife didn't think that a family vacation should include me enjoying myself with Golf. Her definition of a family vacation is spending all your time with the family.Right there on the ship just waiting for me to tee up was a Golf Course. As we set out on our Bahamas Cruise Vacation I didn't do any research about the vacation and I had no clue what was available! Yes, the ship has a real Golf Course right on the top floor.

During our visit to the Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island, I found out my vacation could have included some a great day of Golf.I was having a great time with my family So, don't get me wrong, I would not trade this quality time for anything. But, I would have loved to squeeze in a few rounds of Golf. The Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island has some great Golfing options that my wife seemed to leave out of her planning.I was talking to another dad on the beach and I found out that I was missing out on some great golf on the island. I also found out that I was missing out on some great golf on the ship. The Carnival Sensation from port Canaveral has its own little Golf course on board and I had no clue.

I knew I would not be able to break away for golf there on the Island but I had in my mind that I would get my chance at Golf on the Sensation. After returning to the ship, I met up with the Cruise director and she gave me all of the details of where this Golf Course was located and what I needed to do to get in the game.I had no clue how difficult it would be to get a little bit of time to myself just to break away and enjoy one little round. There were 2 days left on my trip and every time I had a chance I made my way toward to Lido Deck to try to get in a round or two. Every time I made a break for it, I ran into my wife or one of my children and for the remainder of the trip I had no luck at breaking away for my round of Golf.

I am telling this story to help other husbands and dads in advance of their Cruise. If you are going to travel, you want to do your homework.
